A 27-year-old woman had more than two per mille of alcohol in her body when she came to pick up her child from one of the schools in the commune of Skrzywlno (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship). The woman who witnessed the whole situation took her keys and called the police. An irresponsible mother faces up to two years in prison and a heavy fine.

Police officers from Rypin received a report on Monday that a drunk woman came to one of the schools in the commune of Skrzywlno to pick up her child. The complainant reported that the irresponsible mother had been detained by her.

“From her report, she noticed a woman who came to school by car, and her behavior indicated that she might be drunk. In addition, passing by, she smelled alcohol from her. The reporting woman kept watching the woman, and when she and her child tried again get into the vehicle and drive away, she took her keys, preventing her from continuing to drive” – ​​said Dorota Rupińska, the press officer of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Rypin.

The woman had more than 2 times the legal limit of alcohol in her body. She is a 27-year-old resident of the commune of Skrzelno. As Dorota Rupińska added, the officers immediately stopped her driving license and handed the child over to family members.
