The tragic accident happened on Sunday morning on the national road number 62 in Skuszewo in the Wyszków district. The driver of a passenger car hit a 59-year-old cyclist. According to the police, the probable perpetrator first fled the scene, but then reported himself to the command himself. He had one and a half per mille.
The press officer of the district police commander in Wyszków, Damian Wroczyński, told the Polish Press Agency that the fatal hitting of a cyclist took place on Sunday around 11.25, on the national road 62 in Skuszew. – Unfortunately, a 59-year-old cyclist died as a result of his injuries – he added.
The 21-year-old reported to the police station
– The preliminary findings of the policemen show that the probable perpetrator of the road accident is the driver of a passenger car who was overtaking two other vehicles. As a result of this maneuver, he hooked the cyclist and then moved away from the place – informed Commander Wroczyński.
A 21-year-old passenger car driver later reported to the headquarters in Wyszków. Activities with him are in progress. Examination of the alcohol content in the exhaled air showed that there is more than one and a half per mille in his body. The man’s blood will be drawn for further tests.
