An unusual accident took place in a parking lot in Sławatycze (Lubelskie Voivodeship), where an 89-year-old passenger car driver ran over a 73-year-old man while reversing. He was just getting out of the car. The ambulance took him to the hospital.

On Tuesday (February 14), a 73-year-old man was hit in the parking lot at Rynek Street in Sławatycze.

As the police initially determined, he was hit by an 89-year-old Opel driver who was reversing when the 73-year-old was getting out of a Fiat passenger car.

After hitting the man, the 89-year-old drove into the building next to it, damaging the facade.

– The man driving the Opel was sober. This was confirmed by the study carried out by the uniformed officers, Commissioner Barbara Salczyńska-Pyrchla from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Biała Podlaska stated in the communiqué.

The 73-year-old was injured and taken to the hospital.
