In Ślesin (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship) a horse fell into a septic tank. After nearly three hours of action with the participation of firefighters, the animal managed to get to the surface.

Firefighters received a report of a horse trapped in a septic tank on Tuesday (April 25) at 20.46. The event took place in Ślesin, in the Nakło district. Two fire engines were dispatched to the spot.

“After the arrival of firefighters at the scene, an unused septic tank was found, into which the horse fell. After securing the area of ​​​​operations and lighting it, the animal was evacuated” – said senior captain Bartosz Walkowiak, press officer of the Poviat Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Nakło nad Notecią.

The operation lasted nearly three hours. Firefighters had to use heavy equipment and a backhoe loader to demolish one of the walls of the reservoir. As a result, the horse was freed.

“After a nearly three-hour action, the animal managed to get out of the trap safely and handed over to the veterinarian who arrived at the scene” – informed the firefighter.
