Policemen patrolling Słomniki (Małopolskie Voivodeship) stopped a Ford for inspection, which they suspected was driven by an intoxicated person. It turned out that the driver is not only under the influence of alcohol, but is also wanted to serve a prison sentence and has three court disqualifications from driving.

A 44-year-old man from the Proszowice poviat was detained on Sunday evening by policemen from Słomniki. During the breathalyzer test, he blew over 1.3 per mille of alcohol.

“In addition, a check in police databases showed that he had three active court driving disqualifications and was finally convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol during the period of such prohibition, for which the court sentenced him to seven months in prison. The convict did not appear to serve his sentence So he was wanted,” the police statement reads.

The man has already been sent to prison. In addition, he will be charged with repeating the same crime. They are punishable by up to five years in prison, but due to recidivism, the penalty may be increased by half.
