Słomniki. Six men will be charged with beating up a 41-year-old man

A 41-year-old from Słomniki (Lesser Poland Voivodeship) was beaten in the city center. Police officers looking for the attackers noticed a group of six men nearby who turned out to be extremely aggressive. All suspects have already been charged.

The police received a report of an unconscious man lying on the sidewalk near the Słomnica market square on Monday. When they arrived, the 41-year-old was already conscious, but his eyes were red and his face was injured.

“The police determined that he had been beaten by several young men who also used pepper spray on him,” the police say.

Six people were detained

Police officers looking for the perpetrators of the beating noticed a group of men matching the descriptions. “From the very beginning, the men behaved aggressively and vulgarly towards the intervening policemen. They called the policemen names and, as a result, violated their bodily integrity by pushing and hitting them. Two of the men – the most aggressive – were detained by the officers, which aroused even greater aggression in the others,” we read in the message.

Ultimately, with additional support, police arrested the suspects. The youngest of them were 18 and the oldest 26. They were all under the influence of alcohol.

After sobering up, the men were charged with beating a 41-year-old man and insulting and violating the bodily integrity of police officers.
