Zemke: this is always the question: who would have an interest in this?

Janusz Zemke drew attention to reports that the attacker worked in a security company and received a permit to use sharp weapons. – In other words, he couldn't have been sick (mentally – editor), because he wouldn't have received the permit, right? – he said.

– Now there is the second issue, related to the Russian trace. There is no evidence so far, so I would be quite careful here, but I think it will be worth closely watching in the near future how individual forces, including the Russians, will play this, he said.

As he emphasized, “the attack took place and now there are various attempts to interpret and use it.” – And maybe we'll see from the side Russia, various media and publicists associated with them, and so on, when they start to spread the thesis: 'because Fico was closer to Russia (…), please, what happened to him'. And if something happened to him, who would have any interest in it? Because it's always the question: who has the best interest at the end? – added Zemke.

Niemczyk: such a narrative would be extremely convenient for Russians

Piotr Niemczyk said that his intuition tells him that a Russian thread is “completely possible.” – Because recently we have had a lot of warnings from, for example, Western intelligence services that the Russians are preparing and actually already implementing a program of such a hybrid war, not only with the help of the Internet or some devices for observing drones and other technical gadgets – assessed.

– The elimination of opponents begins, acts of sabotage and sabotage begin. And in such a situation, if the Russians could twist the cat's tail and say: look, maybe an ideologically confused man assassinated Prime Minister Fico at the request of the Ukrainian intelligence, then such a narrative would be extremely convenient for the Russians.

– We know that these intelligence operations are often done in order to push the responsibility onto someone else, so for me it is quite likely – he added.

– For me, this is a signal that these bad emotions, and we in Poland have also gone through a lot of these bad emotions over the last few years, threaten to do just that – added Nowakowski.
