Slovakia. Two-year-old from Poland left in hot car

On Saturday, the Slovak police in Namestovo received a report of a child left in a hot car. The boy did not react or move. Officers broke the window and gave the child first aid. It turned out that the parents of the two-year-old were Polish.

“In the afternoon, a patrol was sent to check a report of a minor being left in a car seat in the front seat of a closed vehicle in the parking lot in front of an accommodation facility in Namestovo,” the police said in a statement.

Upon arrival, officers found a child in the vehicle who was not moving or responding. “Since the child showed no signs of life, they immediately began to break the window in the rear door,” the release reads.

“Parents' actions will not remain without consequences”

The police pulled out the two-year-old boy and gave him first aid.

“The illegal actions of both irresponsible parents from Poland will not remain without consequences and will be dealt with in accordance with applicable regulations,” the Slovak police said.
