Nine fire brigades are fighting a fire in a production and warehouse hall at Portowa Street in Słupsk. – The element is not spreading, we have no information about any people injured – says Captain Piotr Basarab from the Słupsk fire brigade in an interview with tvn24.pl.
The fire occurred on Monday after 6 p.m. – The flames covered a hall measuring approximately 40 by 15 meters. There are cars and machines inside. However, the greatest threat to officers are the technical gas cylinders collected on site. We don't know the number of cylinders and what exactly the gases are, so – for safety reasons – we try to conduct the operation from a safe distance – says Capt. Basarab.
He adds that the fire is not spreading. – Nine units of the State Fire Service, the Military Fire Service and the Volunteer Fire Service were dispatched to the site. Firefighters are fighting the fire that has spread inside the building – adds the tvn24.pl interlocutor.
No information about the injured
Firefighters have no knowledge of anyone who may have been injured by the fire. It is not yet known what the cause of the incident was.
– Additionally, a Fire Extinguishing Robot from JRG 1 Gdynia was dispatched to the site. Thanks to it, we will be able to operate more precisely without compromising the safety of officers – adds Capt. Peter Basarab.
