We have already talked many times in “Facts” about how important it is to study. The earlier the cancer detected, the greater the certainty of winning the fight with it. Soon, we may wait for the absolute revolution in diagnosing cancer. We will tell about micro -molecules and small devices that will replace large mammuses.
The great mammobus had to come to Dębno in West Pomeranian on Tuesday, so that ladies from this city could check if they have breast cancer.
In the future, there will be no discomfort or undressing and you will not need a mammus at all. Every woman will check if there is breast cancer with a small meter -like device. After a slight prick, the device will immediately analyze the concentration of selected proteins, i.e. so -called biomarkers, which may indicate the development of breast cancer. For example, HER1 or HER2. British scientists from the University of Cranfield in Great Britain work on such a device.
“Our goal is to create a cheap portable device that will be able to determine 25 specific biomarkers, necessary for early detection of cancer,” says De Iva Chianella from the University of Cranfield.
Thanks to nanotechnology, we can not only study, but also treat
If the test shows something disturbing, the doctor will direct the patient to further examination. In a similar way, medics already mean a dog antigen associated with prostate cancer. Thanks to nanotechnology, we can not only study, but also treat ourselves. Scientists from California have developed recreated hydrogel microrobots. They move on the human body in the blood, urine and other body fluids. They spread medicines and perform precise surgery.
– To precisely control micro -performers, we implied nanoparticles into their magnetic structure. Thanks to this, the doctor, using an external magnetic field, will be able to precisely control the direction and speed of their movement – indicates prof. Wei Gao from the California Institute of Technology.

Thanks to simple tests and cheap devices, we will be able to monitor the formation of cancer on a regular basis, almost every day, and not, for example, once a year. As MaÅ‚gorzata Trzaskowska did. And it turned out that in her case it was not enough – the tumor began to develop six months after the examination.
– Fortunately, breast cancer was diagnosed early enough. So if you ask me if I'm going to be an ambassador and persuade women to test, of course, yes. I always urge. Now I will persuade 10 times more – says MaÅ‚gorzata Trzasjiwska, wife of RafaÅ‚ Trzaskowski.
For now, to traditional mammography that Mammobus offered Dębno on Tuesday.
