I don't think anyone in Poland can take Antoni Macierewicz seriously. He is a serious threat to public order because his actions and words are dangerous from the point of view that they have been destroying our community for many years – said Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Wednesday.

Wednesday is the 14th anniversary of the Smolensk disaster. – I don't think the prosecutor's office could lie so brazenly – this is Antoni Macierewicz's reaction to the information that the prosecutor's office has not yet found evidence of an explosion in the Polish plane that crashed on April 10, 2010 in Smolensk. Macierewicz and PiS have been building their Smolensk lie on the alleged explosion for years.

Prime Minister and leader of the Civic Coalition, Donald Tusk, organized a press conference on Wednesday. – I don't think anyone in Poland could take Minister Macierewicz seriously. He is a serious threat to public order because his actions and words are dangerous from the point of view that they have been destroying our community for many years, so in this sense he is a serious problem – he said when asked about Macierewicz's statements regarding the Smolensk disaster.

– In fact, the real problem is – and here Macierewicz turned out to be effective – that so many people in Poland rejected the state report, a reliable, honest, true state report, because Macierewicz's slander about attacks and explosions sounded much more attractive – he added.

– In every country there is a group of people who, seemingly completely irrationally, first say some nonsense and then believe in it – said Donald Tusk. As he assessed, Macierewicz had been “devastating the state” for years, and “Jarosław Kaczyński and PiS tolerated it and even supported it, and in my opinion we should not forgive them.”
