Smolensk disaster. This is how TVN24 reporter Rafał Poniatowski talked about “the fight for any information”

15 years ago there was a disaster near Smolensk, in which President Lech Kaczyński, his wife Maria Kaczyńska and 94 other people died. The Polish delegation flew at the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre. There were many journalists on the spot, including TVN24 reporter Rafał Poniatowski, who died in May 2021. – Amazing adrenaline. I remember that I left on duty literally for a moment, after 36 hours – he recalled on the air of our station. – We drove from Katyn to Smolensk. I was at the scene of the disaster. I know how the aviation fuel smells, I saw the remains of the broken presidential Tupolev. Later there was a fight for any information – said the reporter.
