A man caused a stir on the Internet when he posted a photo of a Mars bar without the characteristic corrugation on social media. As it turned out, the finder of this chocolate aberration received two pounds in compensation – the BBC website reported.

A photo of Harry Seager's sweets has sparked the interest of thousands of members of the Dull Men's Club Facebook page, with one calling it “disgusting,” the BBC wrote.

The 34-year-old said that Mars Wrigley UK did not give him the reason for the imperfections. The company only stated that the bar avoided being blown away with air. Mars Wrigley UK added that earlier this month that the bar “slipped” through the production line, the British website reported.

He explained that Mr Seager, from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, was on his way to the Birmingham Classic Car Show with friends and bought a candy bar at a petrol station in Thame, Oxfordshire.

– The only reason I emailed to [Marsa]was that I was interested in what could have caused this to happen. That's all I wanted to know and they kept shrugging off the question. I think two pounds is great, that'll be two free Mars bars. Maybe they could have sent me more, but I'm not ungrateful. “I think it's amazing after everything that's happened that I got a £2 voucher,” Seager said.

Mars Bars were first handmade in Slough, Berkshire, in 1932 and are still produced in the town.
