“Fraudsters are looking for people ready to perform the work of the driver through social media, the provision of passenger transport services in countries on the border of the Schengen zone,” informs the police. The services warn against growing procedure and call for prudence.

According to the police, “scammers are looking for, through social media, people ready to perform the work of a driver, providing passenger transport services in countries on the Schengen zone border.”

Smuggling through the “Balkan Trail”

In fact, recruited people often participate in the activities of organized criminal groups dealing with the smuggling of illegal migrants to the European Union through the so -called Balkan trail. Most often, the proposals relate to transport from Croatia and Sloveniabut also with Hungarian, Romania and Bulgaria to another EU state.

The uniforms sensitize that participation in this type of crime is punishable by a prison sentence for many years, including a long waiting for a sentence in temporary detention without the possibility of returning to the country.
