Sochaczew. A drunk driver drove into a ditch

Police officers from Sochaczew detained a 50-year-old man who drove his car into a ditch. The man had more than three permille and did not have a driving license. He faces up to three years in prison.

The police received a report that a Volkswagen transporter was driving along national road number 50 towards Żyrardów, the driver of which was probably under the influence of alcohol. The man behind the wheel was driving slowly and pulled over to the side of the road from time to time. Traffic policemen moved towards him.

Charge and arrest

– The officers noticed that the driver of the Volkswagen had entered a ditch. The 50-year-old's sobriety test showed that he had over three per mille of alcohol in his body. After checking the system, it turned out that the man did not have the driving license – said senior trainee Agnieszka Dzik, spokeswoman for the police in Sochaczew, on Friday.

The drunk driver was arrested and placed in police custody. At the District Police Headquarters in Sochaczew, he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. – He faces up to three years in prison. He will also be responsible for road traffic offenses committed, the spokeswoman emphasized.
