Sokołów. Fire at the waste landfill. Firefighters fought the fire all night

In Sokołów near Warsaw, there was a fire at the landfill at night. 23 fire brigades fought with fire at the climax of the firefighting operation. On Monday morning he is still extinguishing.

Firefighters received a notification on this matter around 21.40 on Sunday. It concerned the fire of the waste landfill at 7 Wacława Street in Sokołów in the Michałowice commune.

– At the scene of the incident, a 45 -meter waste heap was found at 45 meters high and about 10 meters high. At the climax of the operation was conducted by 23 hosts of fire protection units – informs aspirant Michał Składanowski from the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Pruszków.

He adds that on Monday morning there are still seven more fire brigades. – Our actions are currently caught in extinguishing and overheating this heap – he indicates.

A press officer of the Pruszków Fire Brigade emphasizes that no one was injured.
