The trial of Przemysław K. began on Friday before the District Court in Koszalin. The 41-year-old is in pretrial detention in Silesia, and he gave his explanations via videoconference. The accused is responsible for the abduction of an 11-year-old girl from Sosnowiec in August 2023, as well as, among others, for possession of drugs.

– During today's hearing, the accused began to give his explanations. It took quite a long time. The continuation is planned on January 13, said Sławomir Przykucki, spokesman for the Security Service in Koszalin. – The date of the next hearing is also set for January 22, when evidentiary proceedings will probably begin – he added.

Indictment came to court at the end of June 2024. Przemysław K.'s defense attorney asked for a verdict to be issued without a hearing. The accused wanted to voluntarily submit to punishment, but in September the court rejected this request.

Judge Sylwia Dorau-Cichoń closed the entire proceedings to the public. She justified her decision with good morals and the private interest of the minor victim. Thus, the judge agreed to the motions of both parties to the proceedings.

Last year, Dorota Pelon, spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Sosnowiec, said that Przemysław K. was accused of kidnapping Victoria, then 11, in August 2023, possession of drugs and two other crimes. She did not disclose the content of these allegations for the sake of the injured party. She informed that the crimes committed could result in a total penalty of up to 20 years in prison.

The investigation into the disappearance of Wiktoria from Sosnowiec (Silesian Voivodeship) began on August 6, 2023, the day before in the evening the girl left her home. Her parents notified the police, who began a search. As part of these activities, Child Alert was implemented – a special procedure for searching for missing children using the media. The teenager was found on August 7 in Koszalin (West Pomeranian Voivodeship). Przemysław K., who accompanied her, was detained.

It turned out that a few days before she ran away from home, Wiktoria started an online relationship with Przemysław K.

– Acting under his influence, she decided to accept his offer to go to Koszalin together. Pursuing his criminal intention, the accused came to Sosnowiec for the minor Wiktoria, then took her to the north of Poland and hid her in his place of residence. Along the way, he made efforts to hinder the search operation, the prosecutor's office reported.

According to investigators, many evidentiary activities were carried out during the proceedings – witnesses were interviewed, the contents of secured electronic devices and other data carriers were examined, and expert opinions were sought, among others. in the field of toxicology, genetics, ballistics and computer science.
