“We have resumed operations after a hiatus,” the US Airlines tweeted. They added that they are working “to restore operations as soon as possible and to adapt to the needs of customers whose travel has been disrupted.”

Southwest Airlines shares fell 1.3 percent on Tuesday, Reuters reported.

Reuters recalled that the airline canceled more than 16,700 flights between Christmas and New Year 2022 due to a technical problem. Southwest’s crew scheduling software then failed to withstand the strain of changes made by the airline, and employees had to manually match crew and planes, leading to extended waits for schedules by pilots and cabin crew.

The airline posted a fourth-quarter loss of $220 million. and a $390 million increase in operating costs. due to canceled flights. In January, it reported that first-quarter revenue would fall by $300-350 million. Reuters reported.
