Storm Isaack hit Spain. It brought heavy snowfall to the province of Girona. It became white, among others, in the commune of Molló. Strong winds blew in towns along the Mediterranean Sea. The waves there were four meters high.

Storm Isaack brought with it a break in the weather. Rainfall hit most of the country from February 1 to February 7, according to the Spanish meteorological agency AEMET. During this period, 100 liters of rain per square meter fell in the north of Mallorca, as well as from Alicante to the Malaga coast. In Menorca, the cumulative precipitation amounted to 47 l/sq m, in the city of Tortosa – 43 l/sq m, and at the airport in Reus 39 l/sq m.

The storm with rain and snow also affected the northern regions of the province of Castellón. In the village of Morella, the snow cover was more than 15 centimeters. City services cleared snow from roads and sidewalks on Thursday morning. The violent weather caused classes in schools in Morella and surrounding towns to be suspended.

Spain’s meteorological agency AEMET has issued level 1 alerts for low temperatures in northern and central regions of the country. In the south, forecasters warn of high waves.

Off the coast of Barbate, wind gusts can exceed 70 kilometers per hour, and in the Gibraltar area, waves can reach four meters high. On Tuesday in Valencia, the waves reached 3.5 meters high, and on Wednesday morning they exceeded four meters.
