Clavijo stressed that the drop in temperature, increase in humidity and the fact that the wind is not blowing as hard as expected are positive factors in the firefighting work, which is to be attended by an additional 100 soldiers of the Spanish ground forces. On Saturday, the president of the Canary Islands said that at least 12 houses had been destroyed.
