Sperm race, i.e. a male race for life

The sperm race is a show prepared by the Americans. The initiative is to serve as an excuse to pay attention to problems with male fertility. Material of the magazine “Poland and the world”.

This is an old race as the world, but the world has not yet watched such a race. The organizer of the sperm race is the American Start UP. The competition will take place in the building Hollywood Palladium.

– We want to transform health into competition. When people are interested in the sperm race, everyone leads a better lifestyle – believes the organizer of the Shane Fan race.

Donors of semen will be two students competing American universities. The players were imposed on a health regime. The downloaded sperm will compete with each other on a microscopic racing track modeled on a woman's reproductive system.

The winner will be selected after three “runs”, which is accompanied by professional sports comments. You can also include plants, but something else is about. – We want to focus on male health. We also care about fertility – explains Shane Fan.

– It's your choice to go to sleep in advance. This is your choice to stop taking drugs. It's your choice to eat healthy. All these different things have a significant impact on sperm mobility or number – notes the organizer of the Eric Zhu race.

Fight for health with a grain of salt

– The topic is fun on the one hand. It is made of this show, which is why we talk about it – admits the coordinator of the “Moszownadów” campaign Jakub Kajdaniuk.

We have also known the use of humor as a lockpick for male health and prevention in Poland and for 12 years thanks to the “Moszowatców” campaign, i.e. the beliefs of men to preventive testicular testing, which you must remember not only in November.

– The slogan “Let's do it for eggs” is somewhat a joke and it seems to me that the erosion between people and intimate health is becoming more and more progressive – says Jakub Kajdaniuk.

In a similar way, the slogan “sperm race” can bring a smile on the face. – The topic of sperm races is a bit controversial on the one hand, not even funny, but on the other, extremely important – admits urologist Jan Karol Wolski from the Novum Medical Clinic in Warsaw.

Problems with a decrease in the amount and quality of male sperm

– Once, which is about 30-50 years ago, it was thought that if a man has semen, he is a fertile man- notes the head of the Warsaw Stork Clinic Jarosław Niemoczyński.

Today, doctors, when asked about the problems of couples fertility, answer directly: male fertility is a growing problem. – A dozen or so years ago it was half and half, or 50 percent female influence, 50 percent male influence. At the moment, however, this begins to tilt towards male infertility – notes Jarosław Niemoczyński.

One of the main factors affecting fertility is what men eat. – Western diet causes that we meet more often with such problems as obesity – says the gynecologist -obstetrician, head of the Invicta clinic in Gdańsk Krzysztof Zieliński. – It also has a negative impact on the sperm parameters and we know that there is a correlation with a reduction in fertility – he adds.

As Jarosław Niemoczyński emphasizes, the health condition of the generation also has an impact on male fertility, but also a man's decisions – a sedentary lifestyle and stimulants do not improve the case.

According to research, the number of sperm in one milliliter of semen in over half a century fell by half. Quality counts in this amount. – If you want to have better semen, you want to be a father and live in better condition with better sex, with better action in society and at home, take care of yourself – appeals Jan Karol Wolski. Because in this race for life, it is not the gold medal that is the biggest reward.
