Krzysztof Stanowski he has been a journalist for years, and in February 2024 he launched his “Channel Zero“On May 18, we will go to the polls to elect a new president. One of the candidates is to be… Stanowski. That's why he delivered a speech. The whole thing was looked at by an expert, a public speaking trainer – Anna Kulma. What did she see in the video?
Krzysztof Stanowski parodied Jaruzelski. Everything was rehearsed
The expert looked at Stanowski's body language during the speech, which we could watch on January 21 on Channel Zero. “A parody of Wojciech Jaruzelski's speech, which was intended to show the hopelessness of the situation. According to Stanowski, there is no good candidate for president,” notes Anna Kulma. “Jaruzelski's parody was easy to spot, due to the general's voice at times and his hands being theatrically spread and raised up. The voice was also raised, but at the same time we received a series of sentences intoned in the same way, so you quickly realized that it was practiced form” – emphasizes the body language specialist. “Stanowski clearly used a prompter during almost the entire speech, because he hardly blinked,” she adds.
Anna Kulma noticed that at some point Stanowski became unsure. “When he started to move beyond parody and into presenting himself, he regressed a bit. This seems to be the only moment when we could see a sign of uncertainty – maybe after all he saw the gravity of the challenge” – says the expert. Later, however, the journalist visibly relaxed. “Very composed body language shows Stanowski's firm and decisive attitude. He seems to have mastered the art of concealing emotions and stress well,” adds Magda Teterko-Walczak, who is a speaker and speech trainer.

The specialist notices errors in Stanowski's message. This surprised her
At one point, the journalist verbally asked for support. He also expressed it with gestures. “The most natural moment when he was no longer so upright was when he spoke to the camera with an invitation to collect signatures tomorrow – his gesture of inviting people to cooperate (spreading his hands) was natural, and his facial expression indicated a sincere invitation to support the candidacy“- says Kulma.
He also notices linguistic hypercorrectness. “She caught my attention linguistic hypercorrectness “I want” with a clear emphasis on the vowel 'Ä™'. This is its accentuation is an errorbut it was probably intended to emphasize the seriousness and diligence in preparing the candidate,” says the public speaking expert. There is an element that surprised the specialist. “The phrase 'citizens' was also surprising – “And you, citizens, must help me with this,” because Stanowski rather is not associated with inclusive language” – says Anna Kulma in an interview with Plotek.
