Near Nasielsk (Masovian Voivodeship), police officers noticed a car driving in a snake direction. According to reports, the Mercedes driver blew 2.5 per mille. – He explained his reckless behavior by the fact that he had run out of coffee – said Assistant Commissioner Joanna Wielocha from the District Police Headquarters in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki.

On Saturday, December 2, police officers from Nasielsk patrolled the area in Stare Pieścirogi. Just after 1 p.m. they noticed a Mercedes on Wrzosowa Street.

– At one point, the man driving it almost drove into a roadside ditch – said Assistant Commissioner Joanna Wielocha from the District Police Headquarters in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki in a statement. The officers noticed this situation and stopped the vehicle for inspection.

Police: he blew 2.5 per mille

According to them, there was a man behind the wheel and they smelled a strong odor of alcohol. – The sobriety test conducted by the police showed that the 65-year-old had over 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his body. A resident of the Nasielsk commune explained his reckless behavior to the uniformed officers by saying that he had to go to the store because he ran out of coffee, Wielocha added.

The police detained his driving license.

According to the Penal Code, driving under the influence of alcohol is a crime punishable by up to three years in prison. The Pułtusk court will now decide on the further fate of the 65-year-old.
