President Andrzej Duda made a decision to introduce a state of emergency in the areas near the border with Belarus – President’s spokesman Błażej Spychalski announced on Thursday.
On Tuesday, the government asked the president to introduce a state of emergency in connection with the situation on the border with Belarus. On Thursday afternoon, the president’s spokesman, Błażej Spychalski, said that “this application was thoroughly analyzed by the president among his advisers, and there were meetings and discussions at the National Security Bureau.”

– The president has just decided to introduce a state of emergency in the area indicated in the application of the Council of Ministers – Spychalski informed.
The state of emergency is to be valid for 30 days and cover 183 localities: 115 in the Podlaskie Voivodeship and 68 in the Lubelskie Voivodeship. Look complete list of towns.
