We are working on providing aid to approximately 260 economic entities operating in the area of the state of emergency, which may lose their income, said Maciej Wąsik, deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration.

At a conference at the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, after the announcement of the president’s decision, a question was asked about compensation solutions for those who may suffer losses due to the introduction of the state of emergency. As the deputy head of this ministry noted, there are solutions in this area in the Polish legal system.

– There are legal solutions that talk about compensation of damages, we believe that they should be expanded. Together with the Ministry of Finance, we are working on making it possible to compensate the damages suffered by enterprises, mainly tourist enterprises operating along the eastern border, said the deputy minister.

As he explained, there are about 260 registered enterprises, identified by voivodes. – We are working on it in such a way that this aid is satisfactory and actually compensates for the losses incurred – added the deputy minister.
