It was over 20 kilometers to the hospital, every second counted. Police officers from Stoczek Łukowski (Lublin Voivodeship) escorted the car in which a shaking father was taking his eight-year-old son to the hospital. The boy fell off the bike, hit his head on the pavement and lost consciousness.

Senior Constable Piotr Czubaszek and Constable Przemysław Jęksa from the police station in Stoczek Łukowski were patrolling the city when a Volvo car stopped next to their police car.

The driver told them that he was taking his eight-year-old son to the hospital, who had lost consciousness after he had fallen off his bike and hit his head on the pavement.

– The shaky and nervous man asked the uniformed officers for help, he wanted to get to the hospital as quickly as possible – writes staff aspirant Marcin Józwik from the District Police Headquarters in Łuków in a statement.
