Police officers from Ińsk (West Pomeranian Voivodeship) detained the driver for inspection. His nervous behavior and appearance prompted the officers to test him for drugs. A drug test showed that he was under their influence. Additionally, after checking the man in the police systems, it turned out that he was wanted to serve a prison sentence.
The incident occurred on the night of December 10-11. Ińsko police stopped the driver of a Fiat car for a road check.
– The driver was very agitated, avoided eye contact, had unnatural movements, so the officers tested for alcohol and then drugs. The man was sober, but a drug test showed that he was under their influence – said Justyna Siwarska, an aspirant from the Stargard police.
Driving under the influence of drugs was not his only offense
After checking the data in the police systems, the officers learned that a resident of the Stargard district was wanted by the District Court in Drawsko Pomorskie to serve a prison sentence “for the crimes he committed.” Additionally, the car he was driving did not have current technical inspections.
“The man was detained and taken to the police station for further actions.” – we read in the police statement.
He faces up to three years in prison for driving under the influence of drugs.
