The storm raging in the Baltic Sea again washed out the cliff in Lubiatów (Pomeranian Voivodeship). According to Choczewo24.info, rough sea waves caused damage that seems to be more severe than in December.
Strong storm warnings are in force on Sunday in the southeastern Baltic Sea. According to the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, wind gusts of strength 7-8 are expected, and gusts of up to 10 on the Beaufort scale, i.e. with speeds of up to 102 kilometers per hour. There may be some scattered showers in the region and also locally storms.
The cliff in Lubiatów washed away by the waves again
The Choczewo24.info portal published on social media photos taken on Sunday from Lubiatowo (Pomeranian Voivodeship). They show a partially damaged cliff shore washed away by the waves.
“Divine Neptune already in December destroyed the entrance to the beach and washed away the cliff shore. Today, the destruction seems even more severe,” writes the portal.
Last December, waves damaged the same cliff. As reported by the spokeswoman of the Maritime Office in Gdynia Magdalena Kierzkowska, the damage concerned the fragment at entrance no. 44, which is “the narrowest and most abrasive on this section of the coastline”.
