IMGW issued first and second degree meteorological warnings. On the night of Wednesday to Thursday, violent atmospheric phenomena are to move over Poland. Storms can go crazy all night.
Synoptics of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued the first and second degree meteorological warnings on a three -stage, growing scale.
Second degree warnings IMGW – storms
Orange alarms were issued for voivodships:
- Pomeranianin poviats: Gdynia, GdańskGdańsk, Nowodworski, Malbork, Sztumski, Kwidzyn, Tczewski, Kwidzyn, Chojnicki, and Kościerzyna;
- Kuyavian-Pomeranian;
- Mazowieckiein the following poviats: Sierpc, Żuromiński, Mława;
- Warmian-Masurian Voivodeshipin: Elbląg poviats, ElblągOstróda, Iławski, Nowomiejski, Działdowski, Nidzicki, Braniewski, Bartoszycki, Lidzbarski, Olsztyn,, OlsztynSzczycieński, Mrągowski, Kętrzyński;
- Greater Polandexcept for the extreme southern and northern poviats;
- Lubuskiein the following poviats: Wschowski, Nowosolskie, Żagań, Żarski, Krosno, Świebodziński, and Zielona Góra, Zielona Góra;
- Lower Silesia.
In these regions they are forecast stormswhich will be accompanied by very heavy rainfall up to 40 liters per square meter, locally up to 50 l/sq m, and wind gusts up to 110 kilometers per hour. A large hail will fall in places. The greatest intensity of phenomena will occur at night.
The warnings will expire to 9 o'clock on Thursday.

- Mazowieckiein the following poviats: Ostrołęka, Ostrołęka,, Przasnysz, Makowski, Wyszkowski, Wołomin, Pułtusk, Ciechanowski, Nowodworski, Płońsk, Płock, Płock, Sochaczewski, Żyrardowski, Pruszków, and West Warsaw, West Warsaw, WarsawLegionowski;
- Podlasiein the following poviats: Łomża, Łomża, Kolneński, Moniecki, Grajewski, Augustów, Sejny, Suwałki, Suwałki;

Storms are forecasted, which will be accompanied by heavy rainfall up to 30 l/sq m. and wind gusts up to 85 km/h.

The second degree warning provides for the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena, causing high material losses and the threat to health and life. Dangerous phenomena or the effects of their occurrence strongly limit the conduct of business. Expect interference in everyday functioning. Recommended high caution, the need to track messages and developing the weather situation. Observe all recommendations issued by emergency services in an emergency. Adapt your plans to weather conditions.
What is the first degree IMGW warning
According to the IMGW definition, the first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that can cause material losses and a threat to health and life. Conducting activities in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from conducting activities in the area of threat, including delays caused by traffic difficulties, disturbances in outdoor events or the possibility of their dismissal.
