Thursday brings dangerous phenomena in Poland. Dozens of interventions after storms were recorded in Małopolska. The most important Polish services are still warning against the weather.

Thunderstorms with heavy downpours are moving through parts of the country on Thursday. Synoptic tvnmeteop.pl Daniel Kowalczyk has been reporting since the morning that in places they are accompanied by rainfall reaching up to 30 liters of water per square meter.

The forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management also warn against the weather. There are places where weather warnings will be in place until late in the evening. Level 2 alerts have been issued in much of the country.

Situation in Lesser Poland

In Małopolska, dangerous phenomena appeared before noon. Until 1.40 p.m., the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Krakow recorded 38 interventions in the region. The trips mainly concerned pumping water out of flooded cellars, buildings and shops.

Most events were recorded in Limanowa (10), Tarnów and Wieliczka (8), Nowy Targ and Brzesko (3). In Kraków itself, two cases were intervened.

In Nowy Sącz, spot flooding of some roads appeared.
