Cyclone Ulf caused strong winds and storms in Poland. Their effects include fallen trees and poles, broken branches and damaged buildings. On Friday and Saturday, the fire brigade intervened over four thousand times, most in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. A volunteer firefighter was slightly injured in West Pomerania. About 20,000 customers remained without power until Saturday evening.

According to the spokesman for the commander-in-chief of the State Fire Service, Brig. Karol Kierzkowski, due to the strong wind on Saturday, until 21:00, firefighters received over 3,320 applications. Firefighters were leaving for fallen trees, broken branches, damaged buildings and hazards that the storms caused on the roads. Most of the reports on that day were recorded in the province. As Tomasz Kubiak from the Main Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Szczecin, interventions consisted mainly in removing fallen trees and branches lying on communication routes. – We also received several events related to the lack of power supply to medical devices where we lent power generators to operate ventilators – he added.

In the village of Grabowo in the Stargard poviat, the roofs of one farm building and the other of a residential building were damaged. Fragments of one of them jammed the dog. Firefighters saved the animal.

On the A6 road in Szczecin, a tree fell on a moving car. In Łubowo in the Szczecinek district, the gable wall of an unused outbuilding collapsed.

In the vicinity of the Bujaki station near Nidzica (Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship), a tree broke the power line due to strong winds and fell onto the tracks, the fire brigade reported. In Działdowo, a strong wind damaged the roof of a residential building, in Szczepanków in the Iława district it moved and broke a tin garage.
