Thunderstorms are possible in parts of the country on Tuesday. There was a fatal accident in the town of Palcza in Sucha district in Lesser Poland. A 30-year-old man was doing farm work when he was struck by lightning.
Couldn’t save him
According to the portal sucha24.pl, the tragedy happened shortly after 2 p.m. on Tuesday. – A man was struck by lightning. There was a cardiac arrest. The services present at the site took action – reported junior brigadier Łukasz Białończyk, press officer of the Poviat Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Sucha Beskidzka, quoted by the portal.
According to the latest information, despite resuscitation, the man could not be saved.
Stormy and dangerous
As the weather forecaster for tvnmeteo.pl Daniel Kowalczyk reported, Tuesday afternoon was marked by violent phenomena. The discharges traveled through Lesser Poland, accompanied by heavy rainfall and stronger gusts of wind.
The forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management also warn against dangerous weather. Rain and frost alarms are in effect.
