Storms passed over Poland on Wednesday. By the evening, firefighters responded over 1,200 times, mainly due to flooding and damage caused by strong winds. The situation was particularly dangerous in Upper Silesia, where storms swept away roofs and broke high-voltage pylons.

Mateusz Musioł from the Rescue and Firefighting Unit in Racibórz, over 50 interventions were carried out in the area and their number is still growing. More than 30 teams from the Racibórz district were involved in removing the effects of the storm. Firefighters received information about torn roofs, flooded properties and fallen trees. The most serious situation was recorded in Racibórz-Markowice, Pawłów, Łańce and Maków.
