Storms on Sunday 1.06. “A lot will happen above our heads.” Tomasz Wasilewski translates on TVN24

As he donated in the morning on TVN24 in the program “Post and weekend” by the presenter and synoptic of tvnmeteo.pl Tomasz Wasilewski, on Sunday many will happen over our heads. It is about forecast violent storms, which is to be accompanied by hail, heavy rain and gusty wind.

– This is such summer weather, typical for the hottest season of the year, when two different air masses collide over us – he added.

As Wasilewski explained, near Scotland there is than, which will later go towards Norway, towards the North Sea.

– This is important because this one than atmospheric fronts. It is cool over the Germans, and the warm, which we are less interested in, is further, in the north. In a warm slice of lowlands, between this warm front and the cool one is something very important, something that synoptics call a line of storms, a zone of coincidence – explained the presenter. He added that this is a zone where different air masses meet from different directions, creating very good conditions for the formation of storm clouds. Hot air flows into Poland, the temperature on Sunday can reach up to 28 degrees Celsius, and there can be more locally.

In the morning the storm zone was located in the Lubuska region, atmospheric discharges were weak there. The situation in the weather will change over the day.

– The front (…) in the afternoon and evening will reach western Poland along with the movement of this low – explained Wasilewski. – It is important that the storms line will move deep into our country and will be over the middle voivodships. In this storm zone, meteorologists see the most dangerous phenomena today. (…) It all will give us the weather today, which in the second part of the day, in the afternoon and evening, can be dangerous. These can be solid storms with downpours, hail and gusty wind – he supplemented.

As the presenter added, in the western and central part of the country today, for the evening, storms can be violent with heavy rainfall. In places they will be small, and in other regions it can fall up to 30 liters of water per square meter.
