On Friday, the Polish national team will play a friendly match with Moldova at the Silesian Stadium. The match, which – to put it gently – is not very popular among local supporters. Suffice it to say that only half of the tickets were sold a few days ago.
Although the Friday meeting will be farewell to Kamil Grosicki with the Polish national team, a lot of emptiness promises to be at the stadium. It was similar at the press conference of the Moldova team coach Sergei Kleszczen.
On Thursday at 18:30, less than 10 people appeared in the conference room at the Silesian Stadium. None of the Moldovan journalists came to Chorzów, so after Kleszczenko and goalkeeper Cristian Avram took the floor, one of the members of the Moldovan team asked questions.
– We are happy that we can be in Poland again. We consider this match part of the preparations for the match against Italy. Everyone is ready and motivated because we do not divide matches into those by points and sparrings. We are simply an important meeting – said Kleszczenko.

– I don't know how Poles are prepared. Their match for points with Finland is also waiting for them, so I do not think that they, above all, focus on the desire to revenge for our recent meetings – added Moldova selector.
Kleszczenko was asked about the matches that Moldova played with Poland in qualifying for Euro 2024. In Chisinau – during the term of Fernando Santos – we lost 2: 3, although we led 2: 0 until the break. We drew 1: 1 on the bench with Michał Probier on the bench.
– What do I associate matches with Poland with? With great joy. We did not expect to win in Chisinau. After the victory, we celebrated two days. Our fans were certainly very happy about this win – ended Kleszczenko, and the atmosphere at the conference was the same as before the Friday match, i.e. none.
