Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued meteorological warnings and threat forecasts for the following days.

IMWM meteorological warnings

Meteorological warnings of dense fog have been issued in the following voivodeships: Podkarpackie (in northern counties) and Świętokrzyskie (counties: Sandomierz, Staszów).

Dense fog is forecast in these regions, with visibility likely to be less than 200 meters in some places. It will be slippery locally. The alerts will expire at 4 a.m. on Wednesday.

IMWM threat forecast – Thursday

There may be strong winds in parts of the country on Thursday. Level 1 alerts for this weather threat may appear in voivodeships Pomeranian (counties: Puck, Wejherowo, Lębork, Słupsk, Słupsk) and West Pomeranian Voivodeship (counties: Sławno, Koszalin, KoszalinKołobrzeg, Gryfice, Kamieński, Świnoujście).

Yellow warnings against icing may still apply in the following voivodeships on this day: Silesian (counties: Bielsko, Bielsko-Biała, Żywiec, Cieszyn), Lesser Poland (counties: Suski, Nowy Targ, Tatra, Limanowski, Nowy Sącz, Nowy Sącz, Gorlice), Podkarpackie (counties: Jasło, Krosno, Krosno, Sanok, Lesko, Bieszczady).

Saturday may bring strong winds in northern Poland. Yellow warnings may be in force in voivodeships Pomeranian (counties: Puck, Wejherowo, Lębork, Słupsk, Słupsk) and West Pomeranian Voivodeship (counties: Sławno, Koszalin, Koszalin, Kołobrzeg, Gryfice, Kamienski, Świnoujście).

In voivodeships Lesser Poland (counties: Nowy Targ, Tatra, Limanowski, Nowy Sącz, Nowy Sącz, Gorlice) and Podkarpackie (counties: Jasło, Krosno, Krosno, Sanok, Lesko, Bieszczady) first degree warnings against intense snowfall may apply. Moreover, in these regions, as well as in the Sucha district in the province. Lesser Poland and in Bielsko, Bielsko-Biała, Żywiec and Cieszyn counties in the province.
