About 6,500 people were without power on Tuesday morning. recipients, mainly in the south of the region, i.e. in the counties of Krosno, Jasielski, Sanok, Bieszczady, as well as in the area of ​​Mielec and Tarnobrzeg. – 11 sections of medium-voltage lines are damaged, 130 medium-to-low voltage transformer stations are switched off, Łukasz Boczar from PGE Dystrybucja reported on Tuesday morning. He added that energy emergency teams are working in the field to restore power as soon as possible.

In the afternoon, power was restored to some customers. – There are still four stretches out of 19 to be repaired. These are scattered failures, but we should deal with them by the end of the day. 850 customers still do not have electricity, Boczar said. He added that the inhabitants of the vicinity of Mielec, Rzeszów, Sanok and Krosno still had the greatest problems with energy around 5 pm.

As reported in social media by the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bielsko-Biała, due to the strong wind, firefighters intervened nearly 30 times in Bielsko-Biała and the Bielsko poviat. Firefighters explained that the interventions concerned mainly removing branches and fallen trees and securing damaged power lines.

According to Hubert Ciepły, spokesman for the Małopolska fire brigade, firefighters from Małopolska intervened 50 times during the night, most in the Wadowice and Tatra counties. Their trips mainly concerned the removal of fallen trees from roads and broken power lines. Nobody was injured.
