A drunk driver from a town in the Strzelce Opolskie commune came to a store for another bottle. The store employee not only refused to sell him alcohol, but also took his car keys and called the police. It turned out that the 56-year-old had almost 3.5 per mille of alcohol in his system, and on top of that, he had never had a driver's license.
On Tuesday, August 20, a few minutes after 4 p.m., the police received information about a drunk driver of a Volkswagen.
According to the Strzelce police, a drunk driver allegedly came to a store in a town in the Strzelce Opolskie commune to buy alcohol. The store employee, seeing that the man smelled strongly of alcohol and had trouble keeping his balance, refused to sell him anything. The unserved customer left the store and went back to his car. The saleswoman ran out after him, took the car keys and notified the police. In the meantime, the man left the car and walked away.
At the scene, the police established the details of the Volkswagen driver, the man was at home near the store. As it turned out, the 56-year-old had been partying with two friends, when he ran out of alcohol, he got in the car and drove to the store.
He didn't have a driving license
“The breathalyzer test result showed that the man had 3.5 per mille of alcohol in his body. After checking the 56-year-old in police systems, it turned out that he did not have a driving license,” the police in Strzelce Opolskie reported.
Now, a resident of the Strzelce Opolskie commune will be held accountable for driving under the influence of alcohol, which carries a penalty of up to 3 years in prison, a court ban on driving motor vehicles, and a hefty fine.
