Firefighters rushed to help a cow that fell into a silo for agricultural produce in the village of Strzeszkowice Duże (Lublin Voivodeship) in a barn. The animal, weighing approximately 700 kilograms, was tied with fire hoses and pulled out using a telehandler.
The services received a report yesterday at 9.12. In the village of Strzeszkowice Duże in the Lublin poviat, a cow weighing about 700 kilograms fell into a silo for agricultural produce.
– It happened on one of the farms while taking a cow out of the barn. The animal was lying on its side – says senior captain Andrzej Szacoń from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Lublin.
Nothing happened to the animal
The firefighters first put the cow on its feet and then tied it with fire hoses, which they attached to a telehandler borrowed from neighbors.
– Fortunately, nothing happened to the cow. It was handed over to the host – notes senior captain. Respect.
The action lasted nearly two hours. On site, in addition to two teams from the State Fire Service in Lublin, there was also one team from the Volunteer Fire Department in Strzeszkowice Duże.
