Tragic fire in a residential building in Strzyżewice near Bełchatów (Łódź Voivodeship). The body of a 64-year-old man was found in the blaze. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated by the police and the prosecutor's office.
The incident occurred around 5:23 a.m. Firefighters from Bełchatów received a report about a fire in a building in Strzyżewice. Four crews went to the site.

Brigadier Jędrzej Pawlak from the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Łódź informs that a wooden annex next to another brick building burned down. – The smell and stench of smoke woke up the owners of the brick building, but it was too late to save the man living next door. The fire spread quickly. After extinguishing the fire, firefighters found the body of a 64-year-old man, says a firefighter.
The initial cause of the fire was improper operation of a goat stove. The exact circumstances of the incident are being investigated by the police and the prosecutor's office.
