Kukiz replied: – If Solidarna Polska believes that there have been some irregularities, let them initiate the proceedings.

– We are meeting because the Senate is sending the draft law on referendums to the Sejm. Solidarity Poland will not support this project for substantive reasons and because of what your approach is at the moment Paweł Kukiz. Mr Paweł Kukiz has to give back four million zlotys – said Deputy Minister of Justice Jacek Dekora.

He argued that “the project is harmful to local governments”. – It will destabilize the situation of local governments. The idea may be right, but the execution will be that whoever has the money will be able to rule and turn tables.

He stressed that the condition for talks about supporting the amendment is the return of the subsidy by the “Potrafisz Polsko!” Foundation. – Paweł Kukiz is to return four million zlotys. Otherwise, his credibility will be undermined – repeated Ornament.

Mariusz Kałużny from Solidarna Polska said that “the return of four million zlotys is a fight for the honor of Paweł Kukiz”. “The question is whether he has the honorable ability for us to talk about his projects,” he added. He accused Kukiz of “becoming a political clown”.

As Deputy Minister of Justice Piotr Cieplucha said, the amendment may lead to the destabilization of the Polish local government. – Our greatest concerns in this case are caused by the provision which provides for the reduction of the required turnout threshold from 30 to 15 percent, which is necessary to determine the validity of the referendum on waste management. At the same time, thresholds are to be lowered in the case of a referendum to dismiss a commune head, mayor or city president, and this provision is particularly dangerous when it comes to small towns and communes, he said.

Kukiz: If it turns out that there are any irregularities, I will return the money

In an interview with PAP, Paweł Kukiz commented on the words of Solidarna Polska politicians about the four-million subsidy. He said that if the politicians of this group see any irregularities, they can initiate appropriate proceedings in this matter.

– It’s enough to start an investigation, if it turns out that there are any irregularities, I will return the money. I was assured by the law firm that everything was fine. If Solidarna Polska believes that there have been some irregularities, let them initiate proceedings. They have it under them Ministry of Justice Kukiz said.
