Since the end of the fourth season of “Succession”, fans of the series have been wondering whether the creators of the production will decide to continue it after its great success. Casey Bloys, head of HBO and Max, gives them hope. The series can be watched on HBO Max.

This year’s Golden Globe Awards ceremony once again confirmed that “Succession” is an all-time hit. The HBO production was chosen the best drama series for the third time (it previously won the Golden Globe in this category for 2020 and 2022). “We felt it was the right time to end the series and it was a bittersweet feeling. “Especially for me, because I finally bought shoes that are appropriate for an awards show and I’m afraid this is the last time I’ll wear them,” Jesse Armstrong, the show’s creator, joked at the gala. Does this mean there will be no sequel?

Fans of the series do not lose hope. All the more so because Armstrong admitted in an interview with The Guardian a year ago that he was considering creating a spin-off. He took into account two possibilities: a story that would continue the fate of one of the famous characters, or a story that would present one of the plots of the series. Casey Bloys, head of HBO and Max, recently confirmed that the decision on whether to proceed rests with Armstrong. “The chances of that happening are pretty unlikely. Unless Jesse suddenly says, ‘Oh my God, I have a great idea. This is what I want to do.’ I would take it very seriously. But I think he told the story he wanted to tell. No.” it seems like he wants to tackle it again and I totally understand that. I’m excited to see what he’s going to do next,” Bloys told Variety. Armstrong, the British screenwriter responsible for the success of “Succession,” is still under contract with Max. What will he do now? As Bloys admitted, “he himself has no idea.” “I think it’ll take a while. Maybe.” [potrzebuje] some free time, rest, reading. Not thinking about TV for a while, which is fine by me. After four seasons of creating this show and doing it at the level he has achieved, I would encourage him to take a little break and think about things. I don’t think it’s a good idea to rush into something right away. “What I want to do with him is another thing he won’t be able to resist,” he announced.
