Police from Lubuskie stopped a bus on A2, which was driven by a 58-year-old Lithuanian. It turned out that the man is not driving alone. It carried nine migrants from Iraq in the cargo space. Activities are carried out with them – informs the police.
The bus was stopped on the A2 motorway on Sunday morning with Lithuanian registration numbers. According to the Lubuskie Police, the vehicle was heading towards the border with Germany. – There were nine “illegal migrants” from Iraq in the cargo area – eight men and a 10-year-old boy. The car was driven by a 58-year-old Lithuanian – said Maciej Kimet from the press team of the Lubuskie Police.
The officers provided medical assistance to migrants, and in the district headquarters in Sulęcin, they handed them food, water and hot tea, the police say.

– The bus driver and the people transported by him have been detained and procedural activities are carried out in cooperation with Border Guard officers – informed Kimet.
Police officers and border guards from Lubusz ask all residents to provide information related to “attempts to transport illegal migrants or suspicious persons associated with this practice”.
