Police officers carrying out a home intervention smelled marijuana from one of the residents. It turned out that the 28-year-old has significant amounts of various types of drugs, as well as cannabis seedlings and 16,000 packs of cigarettes without excise duty.
Police officers from the Police Station in Skała (Małopolskie Province) intervened in one of the houses in the Sułoszowa commune on Monday evening.
“In the course of their activities, the officers smelled the characteristic smell of marijuana. It turned out that the 28-year-old had been storing significant amounts of various drugs in his home and garage,” the release reads.
Charges and arrest
In total, the police seized over 440 grams of marijuana, 224 grams of amphetamine and over 70 grams of mephedrone. “In addition, the man grew two non-fiber hemp seedlings at home, which were also deposited with the police. He also had over 16,000 packs of cigarettes at home without Polish excise tax stamps. The police also secured items for packaging drugs” – the police enumerated.
The 28-year-old was charged with possession of significant amounts of drugs, participation in their trade, as well as illegal cultivation of non-fiber hemp. He faces up to 12 years in prison. At the request of the prosecutor’s office, the court arrested him for three months.
