The Gdynia Open’er has come to an end, but the season of summer festivals has only just begun. In the coming weeks, there will be plenty of musical events throughout the country – from Kołobrzeg to Katowice. We present the biggest music festivals that will take place in Poland this summer.

Open’er ended on Saturday is one of the largest and most popular Polish summer festivals. The organizers reported that over 110,000 people had fun at Gdynia’s Kosakowo airport this year.

But the summer musical attractions in Poland did not end with him. On the contrary, Open’er is just opening the season for such events. Here are the biggest music festivals that will take place in Poland in the coming weeks.

Polish Hip Hop Festival, Płock, July 6-8

Although it is not a festival on the scale of Open’er, the Polish Hip Hop Festival has been considered cult in the native hip-hop community for over a dozen years. Traditionally, the vast majority of the most popular Polish rappers will play there, including Bedoes, Pezet, Kizo, Oki, Kuban and Białas.

CLOUT Festival, Warsaw, July 8-9

CLOUT is one of the youngest Polish summer festivals. In 2022, its first edition took place, now the event is organized for the second time. When Polish rap still reigns on the stages in Płock, foreign stars of this genre will appear at the Legia stadium. On the second weekend of July, Lil Uzi Vert, freshly after the premiere of the new album, will perform in Powiśle, as well as m. Lil Skies, JID, Kodak Black, Sheck Wes, and Rae Sremmurd.

Sunrise Festival, Kołobrzeg, July 21-24

Sunrise Festival celebrates its twentieth birthday this year. For several years it was organized in the Kołobrzeg amphitheater, in 2019 it moved to the former Podczele airport. The Sunrise Festival is mainly played by DJs creating club music. This year’s edition will feature Nicky Romero, who gained great popularity with the song “I Could Be the One” created in 2013 in collaboration with Avicii, and Purple Disco Machine, the creator of the radio hit “Hypnotized” two years ago.

Sun Festival, Kołobrzeg, July 28-30

The second of the Kołobrzeg festivals, also taking place in Podczele, debuted last summer. This is a good proposition for everyone who would like to, but will not make it to the Polish Hip Hop Festival in Płock – this year’s program of both events is similar, although there will be fewer concerts in Kołobrzeg. On the other hand, the performers who will not be in Płock and will come to Kołobrzeg will include: Sobel, the creator of “Violet Field” or “Hi, how are you?”

Audioriver, Płock, July 28-30

Less than a month after the Polish Hip Hop Festival, another legendary event will be organized on the beach in Płock. This time, performers creating electronic music will play on the Vistula river. There are no mainstream stars in this year’s program, because electronics itself rarely falls into the mainstream. But there will be artists well known to fans of the genre. Popular foreign performers will perform at Audioriver, including Moderat, Shygirl and Palms Trax, as well as Polish ones, such as VTSS, Święty Bass and Rysy.

Pol’and’Rock Festival, Czaplinek, August 3-5

Pol’and’Rock Festival is the oldest of the Polish festivals, next year its jubilee, thirtieth edition will take place. Traditionally, the event was organized in Kostrzyn nad Odrą, since 2022 it has been hosted by the West Pomeranian Czaplinek-Broczyno airport. Festival shouting “Departure!” will be officially opened by a retired stationmaster from the railway station in Żary, Roman Polański, which has been opening this event since 1997. Among the stars who will appear on stage will be m.in. Apollo 440, Brodka, Apple Blossom, Epica, Biohazard, Napalm Death and While She Sleeps.

OFF Festival, Katowice, August 4-6

The event created by Artur Rojek, the founder of the band Myslovitz, was recognized by the “Guardian” a few years ago as one of the 10 best music festivals in Europe. Katowice is dominated by alternative music, which does not mean that there will be no international stars there. The most popular headliner of this year’s edition of the OFF Festival is rapper Pusha T, the British band Slowdive and King Krule, balancing between several genres, will also come to Silesia.

FEST Festival, Chorzów, August 9-13

The event, organized at the beginning of August in the Silesian Park in Chorzów, one of the largest parks in Europe, has a lot of Open’er in it and is its most serious competition. Everyone will find something for themselves at FEST Festival: there is a lot of rap, but also a lot of electronics, rock and pop. This year’s stars will include: Kasabian, The Chemical Brothers, Steve Angello, Peggy Gou, Yung Lean and Yungblud.
