Sundar Pichai, the head of Alphabet (Google’s parent company), earned about $226 million in 2022. This is more than 800 times the company’s median salary. Pichai is one of the highest-paid CEOs in the world.
According to documents released by the company, approximately $218 million of Pichai’s earnings is the value of the shares he received. His base annual salary of $2 million has not changed since 2020.
According to the documents, Alphabet also spent nearly $6 million on his personal security.
One of the highest paid CEOs
Pichai’s salary makes him one of the highest-paid CEOs in the world. Information about his earnings, however, appears at a rather awkward moment. Alphabet began to reduce employment in its offices around the world.
