Authorities have announced a significant replace within the killing of Maleesa Mooney.

5 months after the model was found dead within a fridge at her Los Angeles condominium, officers have a suspect in the tragic case.

Magnus Daniel Humphrey, a 41-year-old Minnesota resident, was taken into custody at his dwelling on an “unrelated federal warrant,” based on a Feb. 21 press launch from the Los Angeles Police Division. 

“Humphrey is on federal probation for narcotics offenses,” authorities acknowledged, including that the Los Angeles District Lawyer’s Workplace has filed homicide fees towards him. “Humphrey waived extradition and might be transported again to Los Angeles to face fees.”

In keeping with Los Angeles Supreme Courtroom information considered by E! Information, Humphrey has been charged with felony homicide, particularly homicide with torture, and felony torture.

The arrest comes after a months-long investigation into the demise of Mooney, whose physique was discovered by officers throughout a Sept. 12 welfare examine. 

Days later, Mooney’s cousin Bailey Babb informed native outlet KTLA that relations grew involved for the 31-year-old when she all of a sudden stopped all communication with them.
