Up to five years imprisonment is threatening a 28-year-old Englishman who destroyed a door in a hotel room in Suwałki (Podlasie). In an interview with the police, he admitted that he drank too much, lost his room card, and broke the door because he wanted to sleep.

Police officers received reports that in one of the hotels in Suwałki, a young man speaking English broke the locks on the door of a room he had previously rented. The report also showed that the man wanted to leave without paying for any damages.

– The police detained a 28-year-old Englishman who explained that he had drunk too much alcohol and could not get to his room because he had lost his magnetic card. So he broke the door because he wanted to sleep – says Commissioner Eliza Sawko from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Suwałki.
