A 32-year-old resident of Suwałki (Podlaskie Voivodeship) was detained for inspection. He did not have a driving license and claimed that he was in a hurry because he was “taking sushi” for his daughter. The police found marijuana in a package under the seat. The man was charged.
Police officers were patrolling Dubowo in Suwałki when they noticed a man driving a Ford passenger car.
It turned out that the 32-year-old from Suwałki did not have a driving license. According to the police, he explained that he was taking a driving course. He was also nervous and said that he was in a hurry because he was bringing sushi to his daughter.

Over a kilogram of marijuana instead of sushi
“During the inspection, the police detected a strong odor of marijuana in the vehicle. They found a package under the passenger seat. It turned out that instead of sushi there was over a kilogram of dried herb,” we read in a statement on the website of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Suwałki.
A preliminary test with a drug tester showed that the secured substance was over a kilogram of marijuana.

The 32-year-old was arrested. The prosecutor charged him with possession of a significant amount of narcotic drugs, which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
The court imposed a preventive measure on the suspect in the form of pre-trial detention for three months.
