Henrik Landerholm, adviser to the Swedish prime minister on national security, resigned from his position on Monday. Earlier, the media revealed that he may have endangered the country's security by leaving secret documents after the meeting. An investigation was initiated into the case.
“Giving up the most important and demanding mission of my life during the most difficult period for the security of Europe and Sweden is a huge sadness,” wrote Henrik Landerholm on the X platform.
Henrik Landerholm has served as advisor to the Prime Minister since autumn 2022. Previously, he headed the Psychological Defense Agency.

In January 2023, the newspaper Dagens Nyheter reported on Landerholm's absent-mindedness, which in March 2023 forgot to take top secret documents from the manor house in Gaelloefsta, north of Stockholm, where internal training was taking place. The documents, which had a secret status, were found by a cleaning lady.

This is not the only incident of this type related to Landerholm. In October 2022, advisor to the Prime Minister Sweden Ulf Kristersson lost his mobile phone at the Embassy Hungarian in Stockholm, and he got it back only the next day. Moreover, in January 2023, he left a notebook after an interview on Swedish Radio.
There were also allegations in the media that Landerholm used business trips for private purposes.
